On your first visit, you will be welcomed with open arms by our front desk staff. Any paperwork that needs to be completed will be thoroughly explained to you prior to completion. We take education very seriously in our office so there will be some information that you will read through prior to being seen by the doctor.
Once in the exam room, Dr. Lynne will review the basic information that you'll need to know in order to proceed with the examination. The examination includes a thorough history, assessment of the primary complaint, postural evaluation, range of motion testing, full spinal exam, any necessary orthopedic tests, and x-rays, if necessary.
X-Ray evaluation is based on the examination findings. Children under the age of 5 will not be x-rayed unless there are significant complaints, exam findings, or history that indicates positive findings may be expected. We have radiographic capabilities and licensing for x-rays of any kind and body part. With developing equipment on site, we are able to process the films expediently and schedule an appointment to review those x-rays and exam findings with you as early as the following day.
Once I review the information from the consultation, the exam findings and the x-rays, we will schedule another time specifically for you to review those findings. At this visit, I will let you know what I have found, if chiropractic will be able to help you, the time commitment involved in that help and the approximate cost of doing so. Once you have decided that your help is enough of a priority for you to invest the time in making good, positive changes in your spine to improve not only your spinal health but you overall health as well, we begin care the same day. After reviewing office policies and scheduling your visits, you will receive your first gentle adjustment.
